Results depend on your inputs

Our calculators perform arithmetic on the figures you enter. They cannot verify those figures, know your VAT position, see your supplier contracts or account for anything specific to your business. An accurate calculation on inaccurate inputs is still the wrong answer.

Tax, VAT and pay rates

VAT rates, National Minimum Wage, National Insurance and pension contribution rules are set by government and change. Where we reference them we link to GOV.UK, and you should confirm the current rate and whether it applies to your supply or your staff before relying on a result. We do not determine the VAT liability of anything you sell.

No benchmarks or guarantees

We do not publish industry benchmark figures, and we make no promise about the results you will achieve by acting on a calculation. Figures used in worked examples are illustrative and chosen to demonstrate the arithmetic.

The site links to external sources and carries advertising. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of third-party sites, and the presence of an advert is not an endorsement.

Errors and corrections

We check our calculations, but mistakes are possible. If you think a result is wrong, please tell us with the figures you used and we will investigate and correct it.
